History of the DeWitt Aquatic Center
Construction began in August 1998 and was completed in May of 1999 at a cost of $2.6 Million. The facility consists of over 11,000 square feet of open water and more than 344,000 gallons of water (enough to fill your bath tub more than 6,000 times). The aquatic center features three slides, lily pads, a basketball hoop, rock climbing wall and much more. The Aquatic Center replaced the DeWitt Municipal Pool which had been in service since 1954.
