Adult Lap Swimming - Lap swimming will begin May 30.
6:00 – 8:00 AM Tuesday & Fridays. Season pass or punch pass required.

Water aerobics - PM water aerobics on May 31. AM water exercise to begin on June 6.
6:30-7:30 AM Monday & Thursday mornings. Season pass or punch pass required.
5:00-5:50 PM Monday & Wednesday evenings. Season pass or punch pass required.
Punch pass or a season pass are required for lap swimming and water aerobics. Passes can be purchased at DAC or DFC.
10 punch pass - $30

DeWitt Aquatic Center Policies
Policy Statements
Approved by Parks & Recreation Commission
The DeWitt Parks & Recreation Commission may make reasonable changes from time to time. Said changes shall be posted on the premises by Aquatic Center staff.
Children six and under must be accompanied by someone at least 16 years of age and must remain in direct supervision. An adult may supervise up to five children.
Everyone who enters the pool must pay, regardless of the intent to swim. Users must show their season pass on every visit. A $15.00 replacement fee will be charged for each lost pass. The Aquatic Center reserves the right to issue new passes to replace existing passes and require users to present new pass for admittance. A user who loans a pass to another user will have privileges revoked.
Hours and days of operation shall be posted on the premises. Hours and days of operation shall be subject to reasonable change at the discretion of the DeWitt Parks & Recreation Commission and the Aquatic Center staff
The pool will open if the air temp is above 65º however; if there are not more than 20 guests by the first pool / guard check the facility will close. The facility will open for the evening swim providing the air temperature is above 65º. The pool staff will monitor local weather and if there is the threat of a severe storm or visible lightning the pool will close immediately. The pool may reopen if the imminent danger passes. No refunds or rain checks will be issued.
Swimmers must obey all rules and regulations posted at the waterslide, diving boards, drop slides and general areas. Failure to obey rules may result in loss of swimming privileges for the day. No refunds will be issued if you are asked to leave the pool.
In accordance with state law, the pool may close temporarily if there is evidence of a fecal accident in the pool. No refunds will be issued if this occurs. The pool will reopen as soon as allowable under Iowa law.
Family passes are limited to those claimed as dependants on income tax returns. No adult children or babysitters are allowed on a family. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Resident rates refer to those who pay City of DeWitt property taxes, School District rates refer to those who live within the boundaries of the Central Clinton Community School District (map available at Aquatic Center), and “other” refers to those who live outside the school district.
Dangerous play such as running, horseplay, and riding on shoulders is not permitted.
Regulation swimming suits are required for all patrons in the pool. Cutoff shorts are not allowed.
Children must be able to swim 25 meters to enter diving well.
No food or drink may be brought into the pool; all food and drink purchased in the concession stand must remain in the picnic area.
The DeWitt Aquatic Center is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
Flotation devices must be Coast Guard approved no exceptions.
Any children not potty trained must wear “Little Swimmer” pull-ups.
User acknowledges that there are peak hours of usage of the facility and should the user wish to avoid these peak hours, it is their sole responsibility to adjust the schedule of their attendance to the Aquatic Center’s non-peak hours.
All city employees are responsible for assuring that the workplace is free from sexual harassment. Sexual harassment has been defined as a form of sex discrimination. Harassment of any type will not be tolerated and will be handled according to the city’s personnel policy manual.
In the event of questionable weather, it is the parent’s responsibility to call the Aquatic Center to see if lessons are being held.
Lessons will not be rescheduled due to personal commitments.
No refunds will be issued.
