Ashindel Park

Located at 8th Avenue and 14th Street.

Acquired and developed in 1988 with the assistance of Jan Shindel. It is named after Dr. Wallace Ash (founder of the Fitness Center) and the Dr. George Shindel family, hence the name Ashindel (Ash + Shindel = Ashindel). The park includes some natural areas with flowers and trees and a sitting area. There is a basketball court, volleyball area and a walking & fitness trail. The park is also home to the DeWitt Fitness Center. (3.5 acres)
